OSHA General Industry Courses


This training program is intended to provide entry level general industry workers information about their rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint as well as how to identify, abate, avoid and prevent job related hazards on a job site. The training covers a variety of general industry safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter at a work site. 

The two-day OSHA 10-Hour course serves as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1926. Workers must receive additional training on the specific hazards of the job when required by OSHA standards.

Upon completion of the course, You will get your plastic official Department of Labor (DOL) card in the mail within 2 weeks.

Introduction to OSHA

This is a one-hour training course emphasizing workers' rights. 
It has been updated to incorporate the recent changes to the Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) to align with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS). 

Managing Safety & Health

The objective is to learn methods to identify and evaluate exposure to health hazards, and then determine the appropriate sampling and monitoring techniques. Develop work practices and controls to protect worker's health. 

Walking & Working Surfaces, including Fall Protection

The intent of this course is to increase the protection of general industry employees and employers from hazards associated with walking-working surfaces.

Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention Plan, & Fire Protection

The goal is to teach employees the essentials of planning prior to an emergency situation.

Electrical

The purpose here is to teach employees how to identify major electrical hazards, describe their types and protection methods, and recognize the requirements for workers' protection from those hazards.



Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) 

The purpose is to recognize when PPE is necessary by reviewing potential hazards in the workplace, identify what kind of PPE is necessary and review information about proper PPE. 

Materials Handling

The main objective of this training course is to present the potential hazards associated with handling materials and detail the work precautions for preventing injuries.

Hazard Communication 

The basic goal here is to ensure employers and employees know about work hazards and how to protect themselves. This should help to reduce the incidence of chemical source illness and injuries. 

Hazardous Materials  

The purpose is to recognize, identify, and understand hazardous substances and the risks they present. Understand the potential outcomes of, and learn to prevent, a hazardous material incident. 

Permit-Required Confined Spaces

This program is designed to help companies develop a general industry safety training program for permit-required confined spaces.  

Lockout / Tagout

It protects workers from injury while working on or near electrical circuits and equipment. It also, helps to prevent the unexpected release of hazardous gasses, fluids, or solid matter in areas where workers are present. 

Machine Guarding

The goal of this training is to empower workers to make safe decisions around heavy machinery. 

Welding, Cutting, & Brazing

Help understand the key elements of the regulations and how to comply and how to take proper steps to avoid fire and heat-related injuries and damage. Also, how to Identify the hazards associated with various types of hot work. 

Introduction to Industrial Hygiene 

Its purpose is to protect the health and safety of workers through Anticipation, Recognition, Evaluation, and Control of workplace conditions that may cause workers’ injury or illness.


Bloodborne Pathogens

This course is designed for those who are at risk for on the job exposure to blood and other bodily fluids in the workplace.  

Ergonomics

This course helps students to learn more about using ergonomic principles to recognize, evaluate and control work place conditions that cause or contribute to musculoskeletal and nerve disorders. 

Fall Protection

The purpose of this course is to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and to learn the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards.

Powered Industrial Vehicles

The purpose of this training is to help you become a qualified Powered Industrial Truck (Forklift) operator.

The objective of this  course is to introduce the trainees to the main steps of investigating an accident, the challenges involved in each step and the root causes of accidents at work.

Fleet Safety Management

The purpose of this course is to train organizations how to establish policies and procedures that are needed to help ensure a safety culture of their fleets  and employees. It can also help protect against liability from vehicle accidents.

Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)

The intent of this course is teaching employees how to  identify necessary training, equipment, and monitoring to safely perform their job tasks in accordance with applicable workplace safety regulations. 

Risk Management

This training helps employees reach a variety of objectives, such as increasing their knowledge of the potential risks and opportunities in their work environment, and how they can affect their organization's objectives and values.

Safety Committees Operations

This training will help to create and maintain a safety committee. It also helps

Inform and educate employees about health and safety issues, new standards, etc. It aimed to reduce the risk of workplace injuries and illnesses while ensuring compliance with established safety standards.

Safety Supervision 

The purpose of this course is to equip supervisors and managers with the knowledge, leadership skills and methods to apply safety as part of their responsibilities and become effective safety leaders and advocates. This is crucial to ensuring work tasks are carried out safely.

Hearing Conservation 

Hearing conservation programs strive to prevent initial occupational hearing loss, preserve and protect remaining hearing, and equip workers with the knowledge and hearing protection devices necessary to safeguard themselves.

Universal First Aid 

This course will enable people to quickly and effectively apply critical first aid to relatives, friends, co-workers and others. First aid training can teach employees how to properly use first aid kits, and to stay calm during an emergency.

Respiratory Protection 

The purpose of this program is to ensure that all employees required to wear respiratory protection as a condition of their employment are protected from respiratory hazards through the proper use of respirators.

CPR & AED 

The purpose of this course program is to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies to know how to give immediate care to a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.

Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S)

This course aims to give personnel the knowledge required to understand the hazards and controls associated with working in an environment where they could potentially be exposed to H2S.

Silica Exposure

The primary goal of this course is to teach employees about the risks of workplace exposures to crystalline silica and how to avoid them. Employees will learn about the long-term complications of breathing silica dust and how they can use safe work practices and protective equipment to prevent harmful exposures. 

Recordkeeping 

This training helps ensure that companies track and report incidents so they're less likely to repeat them. This course also shows employees the key elements of the standard and how to make it part of an effective safety program.

Violence Prevention 

The primary goal of this course is to teach employees how to recognize and prevent workplace violence. They will learn how to properly react to a violent situation in their workplace.

Active Shooting Awareness 

This course will focus on how to be prepared and gain the skills needed to prevent, recognize and increase people's ability to survive during an active shooter incident. This course will provide details on what behaviors to look for and who to contact to prevent an active shooter incident. People will also learn how to make educated life-saving decisions regarding which actions to take during an active shooter incident.

Terrorism Response Awareness Program (TRAP) 


Safe Land / Safe Gulf Programs

This safety course gives students a general idea of life and safety issues in the oil and gas industry, upstream, and downstream onshore. This program meets (API RP 75 & API RP T-1), OSHA, BSSE, and almost all major and mid-major operators in and outside of the USA, requirements and provides a basic understanding and awareness level of certain general safety information that an employee should know before entering a company facility and while performing their assigned work duties.
